Discover Mexican folk art through creative techniques and experience a fun family activity while immersing in Mexican Culture.
The Mexican Piñata [piˈɲata] is made with papier mache and cardboard and covered with colored tissue paper fringes; filled with candies, fruits and small toys is hanged from a rope and repeatedly beaten by children with a wooden stick at Christmas Posadas and birthday parties.
In this workshop the artists will teach you:
– The culture and history behind the Piñata (in a visual way)
– How to create the base of the piñata
– Decorating & filling up a piñata
– Singing songs and bringing the tradition to life
